Hugh has worked for many years in the music industry as a musician, composer, arranger and producer.

 

He made his first album aged 18 as part of the folk duo Friends o'mine together with Mark Kjeldsen of the Sinceros.

 

His children's opera Sadko enjoyed a long run at the Arts Theatre in London's West End and Marcius, based on Coriolanus, sell-out performances at the Roundhouse.

 

He spent 20 years working in Hong Kong and in 1992 was awarded Composer of the Year for his contribution to both Chinese & English language theatre.

 

During this time Hugh formed Keyboard Pilots to create music for the Advertising industry for which he received numerous awards. Clients included Mercedes Benz, Cathay Pacific Airways, Dragonair, Guinness and Towngas.

 

He now lives and works in the lovely city of Bath. 

 

In addition to music Hugh is a ceramic designer and in 2012 qualified as a counsellor.

 

He still occasionally washes his car.
