Counselling in Bath

I am a counsellor specialising in alcohol and drug addiction and in helping those with Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) issues. 
My professional counsellor accreditation is with FDAP (The Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals), and I work from lovely rooms by the river in Newbridge, Bath (with parking).

I understand the extraordinary hold a drug or alcohol problem can have over an individual and, with experience in both Harm Reduction control models of treatment (cutting down) and 12 Step methods (abstinence), I am able to work collaboratively with clients in helping those with an addiction find relief from a growing problem and over which they appear to have little or no control.

 

I also have experience in working with those brought up in an alcoholic or dysfunctional home (ACOAs) and am happy to help look at the issues you may still carry.

 

Please feel free to contact me and ask questions and we can arrange an initial appointment. A first session gives us the opportunity to talk and to see whether you feel my counselling is for you. There is no commitment to continue but many clients go on to arrange a mutually agreed number of sessions. Confidentiality is assured throughout.
